![]() Degree Program Faculty Position One-Year Term Appointment Brandon University is a leader in providing high quality education to some 3,000 full- and part-time students in arts, sciences, education, music and health studies. Based in southwestern Manitoba, Brandon University also offers pre-professional and Masters Programs, as well as innovative and award-winning outreach programs, in a personalized learning environment. The First Nations and Aboriginal Counselling degree program was formulated using First Nations and Aboriginal holistic approaches to counselling, healing, and community. The program's cross-cultural approach takes into account First Nations, Métis, Inuit, Western, and academic insights into effective counselling. Students of all ethnic and national backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to benefit from this program. It is of special interest to persons who hope to work as counsellors with First Nations and Aboriginal clients, but its unique cross-cultural content will be valuable in other contexts as well. Applications are invited for a one-year term faculty position.
We seek an individual with a commitment to excellence in teaching
and research. Experience communicating and working with First
Nation and Métis organizations and relevant professional
groups would be assets. Duties of the position may include teaching,
