September 25, 2015. Homeward Trust has awarded the management of Hope Terrace permanent supportive housing project to Bissell Centre.  Hope Terrace is a unique program, which will support individuals who
have persistent addictions and mental health challenges, and who require extensive supports with a focus on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder. Supports include a combination of on-site care coordination and support, as well in-reach services, such as Alberta Health Services mental health and addictions. Hope Terrace will be a 15-unit complex located in the stadium area.
Based on the “housing first” philosophy and a “harm reduction” approach, this program will provide supports to homeless
participants who face substantial barriers to accessing and maintaining housing. The program will launch this year.

Homeward Trust put out a call for proposals in mid-July.
