Public’s help requested in locating woman

January 11, 2016. Grande Prairie RCMP are requesting the public's assistance to locate Naomi Lori Horseman, 26. She was last heard from on Jan. 6 while staying in Grande Prairie. Horseman is described as First Nations, with long black hair, brown eyes, 5'4'' and 130 lbs. She has several tattoos. Police are asking anyone who knows of Horseman’s whereabouts or has recently been in contact with her to please contact the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment at 780-830-5701 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

UPDATE: Horseman located

January 13, 2016. Naomi Lori Horseman has been located safe and unharmed. On Tuesday, Grande Prairie RCMP requested public assistance in locating Horseman, 26, who had not been heard from since Jan. 6, while staying in Grande Prairie.


Man who stole charity donation box arrested

January 11, 2016. Cold Lake RCMP have arrested a man, who impersonated someone else in order to steal a donation box containing $200. The money, destined for the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, was taken from the Cold Lake Bottle Depot on Dec. 22. The man impersonated Jared Jacknife, of the Elizabeth Metis Settlement. RCMP investigation determined that Jacknife was not involved in the theft.
