Dear Editor:
After reading the story about schizophrenia (November Windspeaker), I can sympathize with the writer, because I too have a family member who is schizophrenic. He pretty well goes through the same thing day in and day out. He is currently in a group home, which seems to be helping him cope with the outside world. He's been there for about five years now, since my mom passed away.
I believe in him. I know he is a good person, but sometimes I feel really bad for him, because I know he is a lonely person. He wants to work, but there isn't too much in the way of work for him. Mostly only piddley jobs. I wish I could help him but I don't know how. I'm hoping that I can encourage him to complete his education and then maybe he will be more confident with himself.
