For starters, people talk about Robin Big Snake simply because of his catchy name. The 20-year-old left winger, however, has also created quite a buzz with his play this season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Big Snake is a big part of the Owen Sound Attack, one of the OHL's top squads this year.

The 6 ft., 220-pounder is one of the league's most punishing hitters. And Big Snake, whose mother Lisa is Cree and his father Carlon is Blackfoot, is pretty good with his hands in a couple of different ways as well.

Through the Eyes of the Cree is a touring exhibit of the Allen Sapp Gallery and it is bringing some of the remarkable work by this quiet, humble and self-taught artist across Canada.

Twenty-eight-year-old Leila Houle from Goodfish Lake First Nation is the new Ms. Edmonton, and she's heading to London, Ont. this month to compete in the national Ms. Canada pageant.

Houle works as the communications manager for Treaty 6 education. She decided to run after someone saw an article about the Ms. Edmonton competition in Alberta Sweetgrass and encouraged her to enter.

"The idea of beauty pageants is new to me ... I'm a humble person because that is how my kookum raised me," said Houle.
