The second section of this newspaper is devoted to the organization that publishes it, the Aboriginal Multi-Media Association of Alberta (AMMSA).

The occasion is our fourth birthday.

In the past, the emphasis of such celebrations has been on our achievements. We would have no trouble repeating that emphasis this year, for our growth and development continues.

Taking our lead from AMMSA President Fred Didzena's message on Page 48, however, this year we are concentrating on the people who make all of those achievements possible.

We are not only introducing them to you through their photos and biographies, some of them have taken the opportunity to share their views on the work they do and why they feel it is important to the Native communities.

To Didzena's message and their comments, we can add our own appreciation for the individual effort and dedication that has made the AMMSA team successful.

And this is just the beginning.

Building on the solid foundation of the core of people we now have, we can look forward to provide communications for Native people better and in more ways.

We must also acknowledge our readers and advertisers for your encouragement and continued support.
